Let’s talk about birthrate! In Europe and parts of Asia the number of babies being born per woman is falling. In South Korea they are concerned that the rate is 0.79 babies/woman, in the UK it is 1.6 while a figure of more than 2 is considered necessary to maintain the population. Is a falling birthrate a good or a bad thing? What causes it? Does it matter?
