After the passing of Elizabeth II and Charles inheriting the crown, Harry, the second in line to the throne, has unleashed a media blitz of criticism of privilege that has brought into doubt the position of a royal family in our modern democracy. From immense wealth to laws made to measure and a hegemony perpetuating the powers of religious entities and soft power, royal families appear to be out of touch with today’s media connected population.
