There are 6 supermarket chains that control the pricing of most agricultural products while the consumer demands top quality at the lowest possible cost. This would not be possible without the dedication and sacrifice of the people who make it possible although they are not the ones who reap the benefit. It's no wonder that they are on the streets protesting. Most of the blame is directed at the European Common Agricultural policy despite there being many other factors.
