Let's Talk about archaeology, considered by some as fascinating and by others an expensive waste of time. Recent technological advances have led to some startling discoveries and, in some cases, the rewriting of the established beliefs relating to our past. Has any archaeological news surprised or inspired you? Does the looting of ancient sites and the worldwide trade in artefacts matter? Do museums and on-site interpretation centres provide a good and accurate view of history? Come to your library on Thursday at 4pm or Friday at 7pm for a discussion in English on the above topic.
