This week Let's Talk about animal welfare in agriculture. Industrial agriculture with the vested interest of the pharmaceutical companies have a stranglehold on our food chain. Heavily funded by European political support, intensive production reigns over the more ecological and environmentally sustainable extensive production. Does the way an animal is reared matter to the quality of the end product or should we care?
