To what extent are comics, cartoons and cartoon strips a pillar of our culture. Political satire like Punch, Giles or Steve Bell stand equally alongside children's classics such as Asterix, Tintin and the Beano not forgetting the alternative scene with Viz, Judge Dread and too many to mention here.
