Let’s talk about robots. We tend to think of robots as the loveable mechanical humanoid with jilted movements and over logical thinking patterns of Hollywood fame. However the reality is of less glamorous objects powered by microchips doing the mundane tasks we would rather not do (perhaps the automated battery powered hoover or lawn mower bouncing off the wall like a billiard ball and getting impossibly confused by corners). So how useful are robots in everyday life? Do they make life easier? With improvements in A.I. (artificial intelligence), to what point do you think robots will substitute human labour both in the domestic and work environment?
