 This week let’s talk about being an individualistic or social society. Today in western society more and more people live independent lives far from the traditional support networks of family society. Does this give us more opportunities to develop ourselves as independent individuals or leave us vulnerable? Do you think alternative social groups such as communities of friends, co-living or social networks provide a similar support to the traditional family? What role do you think the state should play under the new circumstances?

The expression, “blood is thicker than water”, defines the importance of family ties. Is it still true?
