For the last session this season and as we plan our summer break and visits to our villages of origin let’s lalk about the fate of rural areas in Spain. Let’s consider why the population of the country has abandoned the countryside, what the consequences of this abandonment are and how it can be reversed. What is the role of national and local government in this shift and what tools are available to reverse it? How relevant is this for the health of the nation? Is climate change relevant when discussing this issue?
