This week, lets talk about Christmas! It seems appropriate given Christmas is 'just around the corner'. More specifically, let's ask the question; has Christmas lost its meaning?
For many of us, Christmas is a time of 'reckless consumerism', where we are expected (or forced) to buy, buy, buy! There is much pressure on many in the community to purchase all manner of stuff. Has this gone too far? Or, in fact, is it a problem at all?
What is your experience and/or perspective about Xmas? Does Christmas still represent an opportunity to 'come together' and celebrate the simply things in life?
In spite of everything, does Christmas still give us a unique opportunity to appreciate our nearest and dearest? Bring your thoughts along and let's talk about it!
