Let's talk about the influence of Europe's "discovery" of the rest of the world. Is there something to celebrate or are apologies due? What do the people of the colonies and ex colonies think today of the consequences of their "discovery"?
While Spain celebrates with a military procession, the UK deports a generation of citizens who have spent their lives working to rebuild the country that exploited and enslaved them (The Windrush generation). Is it time for a re-think of how the events are celebrated today?
