Let´s Talk, 23th and 24th of January

Let's talk about information and public consultation. Referendums, although not popular amongst politicians who claim they are costly to hold, would diffuse conflicts by giving the people a voice on important decisions that affect them. Perhaps the lack of information leads to unnecessary friction even on a local level where town planning projects are passed with interests other than those of the people in mind and with virtually no public consultation other than the obligatory publication in official papers. What would you like to be consulted about? Would people participate or would apathy win the day? Come along to your public library and make yourself heard in English on Thursday at 4.30pm or Friday at 7pm. Everybody welcome (native English speakers free of charge) for further details please ask at the information desk.
