Last weekend the Academy of Arts and Cinema gave itself a collective pat on the back and awarded accolades to it's members in the form of Goya statuettes. Of all the films produced in 2009 there were 2, of contrasting content, that dominated the prize winning leaving only a handful of other films lucky enough to get a public mention.
Presumably something similar is about to happen in the forthcoming Oscar ceremony.
So, what is your opinion of the state of the film industry? Do you see films that you want to see or just those that are pushed at you?
With the advancement of technology is the cinema still an attractive option for the consumption of art and culture or have you got a better idea?
